March 24, 2023: Al Ghazi Tractors Limited, AGTL has announced to suspend new bookings till further notification. In addition to this, they have advised their customers and dealerships to submit additional payment on back orders booked on or before 9th February 2023.

AGTL Statement in the notification dated 24-Mar-2023:
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the dealers, vendors and farmers for their zealous efforts towards the strengthening and enrichment of the AGTL brand.
As we are all well aware, the economic situation of the country is dire and there is an unprecedented burden on all businesses, including AGTL. Due to the recent unforeseen devaluation of Pakistani Rupees against the US dollar and substantial escalation in the costs of raw materials, AGTL’s production costs have risen significantly. To support our farmers, we have been absorbing a major portion of these cost increases. _However, this is unfortunately no longer possible due to factors beyond our control, and we must now pass on a portion of the increased costs to our valued customers.
In order to have a smooth delivery plan, we request that all dealers contact their customer order bank and explain the background of this price increase. Every customer will have 2 options to choose from:
- To proceed with taking delivery of their tractor at the new retail price announced on March 24th, 2023.
- To cancel their tractor booking and receive a 100% refund of their deposit plus interest on the deposit calculated at 2%/month since the placement of the
It is important that customers indicate which option they are choosing and sign the ‘customer acknowledgment letter’, recognizing that they have had the options explained to them and that they proceed accordingly of their own free will.
A copy of the signed customer acknowledgement letter should be retained by the dealership and the original sent to AGTL along with the cheque/payment proof if the customer chooses to take delivery of their tractor at the new retail price (option 1).
All customers with pending orders expected to be delivered in March 2023 are requested to make balance payments by March 28 2023, at the latest.

Temporary Suspension of Bookings
Moreover, it is very unfortunate that owing to recent restrictions on the import of CKD kits and other raw materials, it is becoming increasingly difficult for AGTL to maintain its production cycle. To curb longer waiting periods for our valued customers, we regret to inform you that all bookings of new tractors will be suspended with immediate effect.
We would like to assure you that this is only a temporary measure and that we are committed to resuming the booking of tractors as soon as the supply situation normalizes.
We request you to kindly communicate the aforesaid to all relevant stakeholders as a matter of priority. We stand with our country in these challenging times and are hopeful that together we shall emerge victorious with resilience and strength.
